Pune Sevasadan Society

Pune Sevasadan Society Solapur Branch

Sevasadan institute was established in Pune in the year 1909 by Shrimati Ramabai Ranadeand Gopal Krishna Devdhar. Today this historic institution has completed more than 100 years of service in the field of women’s education. It was a period when a girl was denied the ‘Right to Education’ . A need was felt to educate women to widen their range of knowledge by imparting formal education to them & thus making them self-reliant. The Sevasadan society made tremendous progress & established the importance of educating a girl child.

A need was felt to spread the message of women’s education to other parts of the Maharashtra state & thus the Solapur branch of Sevasadan was started in 1923. & since then it has made remarkable contribution in the field of women’s education & has established itself as a premier institution. At present nearly 3000 students are studying in various sections of the school.
